Twelve Districts within the USTA/Midwest Section, in cooperation with the Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation, have selected 12 different junior tennis programs or associations for the foundation’s 2013 MY Gift to Kids Tennis fundraising campaign taking place Oct. 1-31. The foundation’s campaign is designed to help raise support for local junior tennis programs in the USTA/Midwest Section.
All programs were selected based on their use of tennis to positively influence youth in their respective communities. The MY Gift to Kids Tennis annual fundraiser calls on tennis and community supporters alike to make monetary donations toward their local tennis program. Junior programs often rely on volunteers and donations to help maintain and grow the services they provide to youth in their communities. Following is a list of all programs selected for this year’s campaign:
- Better Boys Foundation: Chicago District
- Lawrence Youth Team Tennis: Central Indiana District
- South Bend Community Tennis Association: Northern Indiana District
- Quincy Tennis Association Youth Team Tennis: Mid-South Illinois District
- APlex Junior Tennis’ Ready, Set, Serve!: Northern Michigan District
- Urban Youth Tennis: Northeastern Michigan District
- Clark Park Coalition Community Tennis Association: Southeastern Michigan District
- Allegan Summer Tennis: Western Michigan District
- Inner City Tennis Project: Ohio Valley District
- Tennis and Tutoring (TNT), Inner City Tennis Clinics: Northeastern Ohio District
- Findlay Tennis Association: Northwestern Ohio District
- Badger Racquet Tennis Club Youth Development Program: Wisconsin District
