FEBRUARY VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Kathy Kinnard | New Albany, Ohio
Kathy has been an active volunteer in the Ohio Valley Tennis Association for several years. Kathy is a USTA League captain and active USTA League player. She is an advocate for the USTA and USTA/Midwest and supports tennis in many ways.
Kathy was instrumental in revitalizing the Ohio Valley District team which competes in the USTA/Midwest Senior Team Championships. This event brings together the top adult competitors from each USTA/Midwest District to compete against other players in various age divisions as well as an overall team atmosphere.
Kathy is currently an instructor at Olympic Indoor Tennis Club. She coaches the Grandview Heights High School Girls’ Varsity tennis team. An avid tennis player, Kathy has won more than 100 tennis titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles since the 1970s. She has represented the USTA/Midwest in the USTA Intersectional Team Championships which includes competing other players from around the country.
