The USTA/Midwest Section encourages USTA members residing in the USTA/Midwest Section interested in becoming a Midwest volunteer at the USTA/Midwest Section committee level to submit an application for the 2014-2015 term via an online Committee Appointment Process (CAP). Also, all current USTA/Midwest Section committee members must apply using this system if they wish to be considered for appointment to a committee for the 2014-2015 term.
USTA members who currently or will reside in the USTA/Midwest Section between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2015, may complete an online application form indicating their skills and qualifications, interests, committee choices, and committee positions. The application process will begin July 15, 2013, and will end August 15, 2013. The online application process creates a level playing field and consistent application opportunity for all volunteers.
The submission of an online application does not guarantee an individual a position on a Midwest Committee. All USTA/Midwest Section members not selected for a Section Committee will be offered the opportunity to serve in a more time- or task-specific volunteer role at the Midwest and/or District level.
USTA/Midwest Section committee appointments for the 2014-2015 term will be made by the Incoming Section President. Individuals will be notified regarding committee appointments by late September. Individuals who are appointed as USTA/Midwest Section Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs will be required to travel to Indianapolis and attend a mandatory leadership meeting on November 9 and 10.
