About the Northern Illinois Tennis Association (NITA)

The Northern Illinois Tennis Association is a non-profit corporation which is the governing body of tennis in Northern Illinois, consisting of 26 counties.

The counties are: Boone, Bureau, Carroll, DeKalb, Ford, Grundy, Henry, Iroquis, JoDavies, Kane , Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Lee, Livingston, Marshall, McHenry, Mercer, Olgle, Putnam, Stark, Stephenson, Whiteside, Will, Winnebago, and Woodford.

NITA is on 14 districts in the Midwest Tennis Association, which in turn is the governing body of tennis in an area comprised of the states of Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, part of Kentucky, and West Virginia. The Midwest is one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), which is the governing body of tennis in the United States.
